Alibaba's Qwen team launched a hosted speech-recognition line branded Qwen-Audio-3.0-ASR-Flash. In the 31 July 2026 announcement, @Alibaba_Qwen on X said the stack is more context-aware with stronger domain-term recognition, and posted three product faces: Flash, Streaming, and Filetrans.

From the primary post: "Introducing Qwen-Audio-3.0-ASR-Flash: More context-aware. Stronger domain-term recognition. Our latest ASR model upgrades: Context consistency; Domain-term recognition; Custom hotwords; Speech polishing into structured transcripts. In internal tests: Medical term recall: 95.36%; Industrial term recall: 93.24%." Those figures are Qwen internal tests, not independent leaderboards.

Alibaba Cloud Model Studio lists stable ids `qwen-audio-3.0-asr-flash` (sync Flash) and `qwen-audio-3.0-asr-flash-filetrans` (async file), with Beijing and Singapore routing notes. The Chinese non-real-time guide pairs Flash with Fun-ASR-Flash (`fun-asr-flash-2026-06-15`) on a shared short-audio call pattern: sync multimodal-generation style calls for clips up to about five minutes and 10 MB; longer jobs use the Filetrans / Fun-ASR async family (about 12 hours / 2 GB on those surfaces). Treat Qwen-Audio-3.0 and Fun-ASR Flash as related series with distinct ids, not one renamed SKU.

Key facts

  • Primary alert: 31 July 2026 Qwen post for Flash, Streaming, and Filetrans.
  • Claimed upgrades: context consistency, domain-term recognition, custom hotwords, structured transcript polishing.
  • Vendor internal tests: 95.36% medical-term recall; 93.24% industrial-term recall.
  • Model Studio ids: `qwen-audio-3.0-asr-flash`, `qwen-audio-3.0-asr-flash-filetrans`; related Fun-ASR-Flash `fun-asr-flash-2026-06-15`.
  • Flash sync path: short audio (~5 minutes / 10 MB). Filetrans: long-file async.
  • Hosted Bailian / Model Studio path. No open weights announced for Audio-3.0-ASR-Flash.

How to read

Match the Qwen-Audio-3.0 product name from X to the Model Studio id for the surface you call (short sync Flash, long Filetrans, or streaming). Keep domain recall figures as vendor-internal until you run your own holdout. Fun-ASR Flash shares the short-call family in the docs; do not assume full feature parity across every Fun-ASR and Qwen-Audio row.
